Dr. Navneet Shah, a leading Diabetologist, Endocrinologist & Consultant Physician of Ahmedabad, is one of the most respected doctors of Gujarat with an experience of close to 40 years. He is a skilled physician whose expertise in diabetology includes prevention, diagnosis, treatment & management of Diabetes Mellitus and its complications like nerve damage, kidney damage, eye damage, foot damage, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases etc.
Dr. Shah is one of foremost figures in the medical field of Gujarat. He is the Honorary Physician, Diabetologist & Endocrinologist to His Excellancy the Governor of Gujarat. Besides, he is Director – Department of Diabetes & Endocrinology at Sterling Hospital, one of the most esteemed hospitals of Gujarat. In the past he was associated with many reputed hopitals of Ahmedabad like Civil Hospital, V.S. Hospital and Rajasthan Hospital. Significantly, he was Head of Department of Endocrinology at VS Hospital. He is also empanelled with some of the most known corporates and organizations like ONGC, Physical Research Laboratory and Plasma Research Centre.
Dr. Shah has been an integral part of a number of highly regarded medical organizations and he has held various key positions in many of them. Through his key role at these organizations he has made a significant contribution to the field of diabetology, endocrinology and general medicine. He was President of Association of Physicians of Ahmedabad, Joint Secretary of Endocrine Society – West Zone and Secretary, Gujarat Diabetes Association. Apart from these he has also held several important positions in many esteemed medical organizations. Besides, he organized and chaired the Symposium of Pre-operative Evaluation at 19th APG Annual Conference in 1998 at Ahmedabad. He has also had a very strong association with the field of medical education. He was Professor & Head of Department at NHL Medical College and Sheth KM School of Postgraduate Medicine. Before that Dr. Shah was associated with the very reputed BJ Medical College.

Dr. Shah has had a distinguished academic record. He pursued his MBBS in 1975 and followed this with MD in Medicine in 1979. He was awarded a Fellowship by International College of Angiology, USA in1982.
