Dr. Aniruddha Arvind Tongaonkar is a highly respected physician with over 25 years of clinical experience, specializing in Internal Medicine and Diabetes Care. He holds an M.D. (General Medicine) and a D.N.B. (Internal Medicine) from B.J. Medical College, Pune, and has been a trusted healthcare provider in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area since 1997.
He is the founder of Tongaonkar Hospital in Akurdi, Pune — a 20-bed facility known for compassionate and quality medical care — and the Founder Director of Sterling Multispeciality Hospital, a 100-bed hospital in Nigdi, Pune.
Dr. Tongaonkar has served as a consultant physician at prestigious hospitals including Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Niramay Hospital, and Lokmanya Hospitals. He has also contributed academically as a lecturer in medicine and ICU at B.J. Medical College from 1995 to 1997.
His deep commitment to continuing medical education is reflected in the hundreds of lectures he has delivered on diabetes, hypertension, and other medical topics at CME events and conferences like MAPICON, MAPCON, and RSSDI. He is also an MMC-accredited speaker and has served as a principal investigator in various national and multinational clinical trials.
Apart from his clinical practice, Dr. Tongaonkar is actively involved in health awareness and fitness initiatives. He has completed several 10K marathons, participated in health makeovers, and often engages in community cultural programs such as public singing performances. In 2022, he was honored with the "Idols of Maharashtra" award by Sakal Papers Group.
